New Product Roundup – May 8th

Welcome back to another New Product Roundup! Before we get into the new items added this week, we are extremely excited to announce a new distribution partner! The Pi Hut is now carrying a large selection of our in-house designed and manufactured boards. These guys are based in UK and offer super-fast shipping across the UK and Europe. So if you are on that side of the pond, be sure to check them out!

On to the new items this week – we have four new additions to share including two more additions from Adafruit Feather lineup. Product of the week is our WS2812 RGB Strip – 144 LED per Meter at 15% Off. Let’s jump in and take a closer look!

New Products This Week

Adafruit Feather M0 Express

The Feather M0 Express is a Circuit Python compatible microcontroller with integrated battery charger. At the Feather M0 Express' heart is an ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor, clocked at 48 MHz and at 3.3V logic. This chip has a whopping 256K of FLASH (8x more than the Atmega328 or 32u4) and 32K of RAM (16x as much). This chip comes with built in USB so it has USB-to-Serial program & debug capability built in with no need for an FTDI-like chip. To make it easy to use for portable projects, Adafruit has added a JST connector for their 3.7V Lithium polymer batteries and built in battery charging... [Read More]

Adafruit Ultimate GPS FeatherWing

Give your Feather a sense of place, with an Ultimate GPS FeatherWing. This FeatherWing plugs right into your Feather board and gives it a precise, sensitive, and low power GPS module for location identification anywhere in the world. As a bonus, the GPS can also keep track of time once it is synced with the satellites. Works with all Feathers except for those with USB-Serial converters that use the UART pins. Right now that means the ESP8266 Huzzah Feather and nRF52 Feather don't work. The Wing is built around the MTK3339 chipset, a no-nonsense, high-quality GPS module that can track up to 22 satellites on 66 channels, has an excellent high-sensitivity receiver (-165 dB tracking.), and a built in antenna... Raspberry Pi HAT Hardware – 1/2″

This set of hardware works perfectly with Raspberry Pi HATs. Included are two nylon 4/40 nuts, two 4/40 x 1/2" nylon standoffs, and two 4/40 x 1/4" screws. This hardware will support the side opposite to the 40 pin header using the standard mounting holes. Ideal for any of our fully assembled Raspberry Pi HATs ... [Read More]

20mA Current Limiter

The CL2 is a high voltage, temperature compensated, constant-current source. The device is trimmed to provide a constant current of 20 mA at an input voltage of 5–90V. These are the perfect replacement for a current limiting resistor in an LED circuit (especially when the input voltage is wide or unknown). Multiple CL2s can also be used in parallel to provide higher currents... [Read More]
