Happy Valentines Day && Happy Saturday! Welcome back to our New Product Roundup for the week ending February 14th. This week we have seven new additions to the catalogue including several “classic” Raspberry Pi, a bunch of larger Aluminum Extrusions + more – but first:
It’s Valentines this weekend, and with that we have 14% Off just about everything regularly priced in the store. Use Coupon Code: IHEARTROBOTS at the checkout before it expires on Monday at Midnight.
In addition to Valentines Day, it is also a long weekend here in BC. Just a quick reminder: there will be no shipping on Monday due to the Family Day holiday. All orders placed over the weekend will ship out Tuesday February 17th .
With that, let’s jump in and look at the new products!
The Raspberry Pi 3A+ is far from new, but with current market conditions driving the more recent Raspberry Pi SBCs prices higher than ever, we feel this slightly older board makes a lot more sense. Featuring a Quad-Core processor and 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM, the Pi 3A+ is a small form factor WiFi enabled Single Board Computer (SBC) that is more performant than the Pi Zero 2W, and large enough to fit standard Raspberry Pi HATs.
The Raspberry Pi 3B+ is far from new, but with current market conditions driving the more recent Raspberry Pi SBCs prices higher than ever, we feel this slightly older board makes a lot more sense. While it may not be cutting edge performance, or particularly useful as a full on desktop alternate, it is still a full sized Raspberry Pi with an abundance of connectivity, lower power consumption, lower price point, and respectable performance. More than enough to make it appealing for many applications.
20 Series Extrusions are the most versatile building blocks, and these double wide 2040 extrusions are perfect for areas where more mounting options or more strength are required. This specific piece measures 1160mm in length and is finished with a durable black-oxide sandblasted coating.
M5 × 10 Drop-In Studs provide a quick, tool-free way to add mounting points anywhere along your 20-series aluminum extrusions. Designed to drop directly into standard 6 mm T-slots, these studs can be inserted without sliding in from the end, making them perfect for retrofits, modifications, and late-stage adjustments to existing frames.
Connecting 20 Series extrusions at a corner can be done in a few different ways – this strong corner brace being perfect in many cases. This can be used by itself, or in conjunction with other types of connection to create an even stronger and more ridged frame.
