When noise or slow switching speeds are an issue, MOSFETS can make an excellent alternative for switching DC loads. This 1 channel MOSFET Driver is perfect for controlling solenoids, small pumps, relays, motors, heating pads, LED strips and other higher current applications. There is an LED indicator showing when it is triggered and integrated snub diode to protect your device from any power spikes caused by inductive loads. The LED can be disabled via a solder jumper on the back.
To use this board, simply connect the power source you would like to switch to the two pin screw terminal. The 3 pin Molex header handles the control side of the circuit. Setting the pin HIGH will power on it’s respective circuit. VCC (power in) is also available in this header, this is directly connected to the positive input from the screw terminals, and should be left disconnected unless it is being used to power an external device.
As with any MOSFET, there are a number of factors when determining max current. Ideally this should be run with 5V logic, and kept to less than 7A continuous. With 3.3V logic, 3A continuous.
