Description
A digital potentiometer is a component that allows the resistance value to be adjusted electronically. It operates like a conventional potentiometer, but the resistance value is controlled by a digital signal instead of a physical knob. The MCP4161 uses SPI to communicate and is rated at 10K ohms. This digital pot is in an easy to use 8-dip, perfect for any breadboard or perfboard.
