Description
A PTC fuse (resettable fuse) heats up when the current exceeds the rated value. This heat causes the resistance to increase to a point where the current passing through is effectively cut. Once the PTC cools, the current is again able to flow, and the fuse is effectively reset.
This specific fuse can handle a constant current flow of 250mA and will trip above that. The speed at which it trips at will decrease as the margin of overcurrent increases.
