Description
MOSFETS are great for controlling high current devices with low power circuits. While the internal construction is different, these are used just like a transistor; they have a trigger pin referred to as the “gate” that will connect the “drain” and the “source”. MOSFETs are favored for high current applications as they have a very low internal resistance, meaning less heat to dissipate.
These specific MOSFETS can handle a peak current of 27A and can switch voltages of up to 60V DC. The 27A rating is dependent on heat dissipation so the higher the voltage, the lower the maximum current will be. Heatsinks can be attached to improve heat dissipation. To switch even more current, MOSFETS can be placed in parallel.
