Description
The Adafruit RGB LCD shield kit is a great way to incorporate an RGB 16×2 character LCD into your next Arduino project. The shield greatly reduces the number of outputs require to drive the screen and even includes 5 extra buttons using just two pins!
The kit is very easy to assemble making it a great starter kit for those Arduino users just learning to solder. This board is compatible with the Adafruit Metro, SparkFun RedBoard , Arduino Uno, Mega2560, Duemilanove, and Diecimilla; The Mega1280 will require two extra wires be run from the I2C pins on the shield to the correct pins on the board.
Please Note: Since there is currently no support for PWM on the backlight control pins, the RGB output is limited to Red, Yellow, Green, Teal, Blue, Violet, and White.
