Description
This “omnidirectional” microphone has -44dB sensitivity and a 20 – 20KHz frequency response. The sensor fits into a solderless breadboard and can be used to monitor sounds in the human hearing range.
The microphone uses a small vibrating element to convert sound waves into an electric signal. This signal measures a few millivolts from peak to peak and will require an op-amp to boost the signal to something useable.
We do offer an assembled breakout board version of this sensor complete with an adjustable amplifier built right in.
