Description

This gearmotor with integrated encoder is perfect for your next robot or precision device. This is very similar to our JGA25-370 gearmotors – with one exception – this motor has an integrated encoder on the back! The encoder is comprised of two hall-effect sensors with a magnetic encoder disc. The disc will trigger each hall effect sensor 11 times per revolution. With two hall effect sensors you can also determine the direction of rotation.

The gearbox reduces the output shaft speed to approximately 300 RPM at 12VDC and since the encoder is directly mounted on the motors output shaft (before the gearbox) this means you have ~440 pulses per rotation of the output shaft after the gearbox.

The motor wiring and encoder wiring are combined into one convenient harness measuring 20cm. The harness pinout is as follows: Red: Motor V+ , Black: Encoder GND, Yellow: Encoder 1, Green: Encoder 2, Blue: 3.3V Encoder Power, White: Motor V-

Like all JGA25-370 Gearmotors, the motor and gearbox measure 25mm in diameter and feature two M3 mounting holes tapped into the front of the gearbox housing. The 4mm diameter output shaft has a flatted side, making this a breeze to use with 4mm hub adapters. The overall length is a touch longer due to the encoders and electronics at ~ 60mm.
