IDC Breakout Helper – 2×20 (40 pin)

IDC Breakout Helper – 2×20 (40 pin)

SKU: ACC-033 - Mfg Part Number: 2270

This 2×20 (40 pin – 0.1” spaced) IDC Breadboard Helper is great for connecting large 40 pin ribbon cables to a breadboard and can be very useful when working with the Raspberry Pi 40 pin GPIO header. It comes in two parts, a 'pin-through' socket and a male header. The socket straddles the center of a breadboard or proto board and then header plugs into the top of the socket. Since ribbon cables are so standard, but not compatible with standard breadboard layouts, this is a good and cheap work around for prototyping.

The connector works best when soldered in place. These are compatible with some solderless breadboards – they do have tendency to jump out of the breadboard in some cases – so your mileage may vary!

We also have these in a 6 pin (2×3) and 10 pin (2×5) configuration.

  • 2×20 pin configuration
  • Perfect for 40 pin ribbon cables
