These large tactile buttons feature an intergraded blue LED. They are still breadboard pitch compatible, and can be installed in any standard 2.54mm proto / perf board. The switch measures 12 x 12mm making them quite a bit easier to push than their tiny alternatives. The switch pins are normally open (disconnected) and when the button is pressed they are momentarily closed.

Wiring the LED is quite easy – just add the appropriate current limiting resistor in line, and apply power. The LED circuit is entirely separate and does not require the button to be pressed to activate.
