Improved graphics performance from the 800MHz VideoCore VII Graphics processor makes Desktop browsing and video playback are smoother than ever. This PCI Express connected GPU can now handle dual 4Kp60 over the two micro-HDMI ports for those times when one monitor is just not enough!

Continuing with the theme of improved performance, the bulk of the I/O capabilities are now handled by the RP1 Southbridge, enabling much faster access to external devices. Aggregate USB bandwidth is now doubled, microSD peak performance is doubled through newly added SDR104 high-speed mode, and a single lane PCI Express 2.0 port is now available for high-bandwidth peripherals.

The camera and display (CSI / DSI) ports have also been reworked. The previous two-lane 1Gbps MIPI camera and display interfaces have been replaced by a pair of four-lane 1.5Gbps MIPI transceivers, tripling total bandwidth. The ports are also no longer device specific, meaning you can connect two cameras or two displays, or one of each.

Additionally, several other popularly requested features have been added including a power button, a real time clock, fan header, and a dedicated UART header.
