Please Note: The Pi Zero W is currently on backorder. Orders will be shipped in the order they are received. Limit 1 per customer. Please contact us with any questions!
The Pi Zero W is the “connected version” of its cheaper brother, the Pi Zero v1.3. This version of the Raspberry Pi Zero has the same single core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 2 USB micro ports (1 for USB, 1 for power), a micro HDMI for video output, and an unpopulated 40 pin GPIO compatible with all HATs. What sets this board apart from the Zero 1.3 is the addition of integrated Wifi and Bluetooth LE. All of these features fit in the same “Zero” footprint, measuring just 30 x 65mm.
Please Note: The camera port on this version of the Raspberry Pi does require an adapter cable to fit the smaller form factor header used on the Pi Zero / Pi Zero W.

What is going on with the pricing here? Other Canadian resellers are selling for US$10 (CDN$13). Why is your price $10 higher?
Chris @ BCR –
Hello,
We have no problem being upfront that our cost is higher. The reality of the Zero is that the distribution has always been extremely difficult. The Zero is distributed by an entirely different means than the conventional Raspberry Pi products and has historically been available in very small quantities.
Right now, if we sold the Zero W at $13.80 CAD we would be losing a substantial amount on every single sale without even factoring in things like overhead or warranty costs. We like the Zero, and we love the Raspberry Pi Foundation but selling 100ās or 1000ās of Pi Zeros at a loss is not worth it. For those that want to support BC Robotics we do make it available, but we are not offended if you want to go somewhere that can make your dollar stretch further on this product.
That being said, if the distribution changes and we are able to offer it at a lower cost, be assured we will!
Cheers,
Chris Caswell

Hey Chris,
Curious when you expect the first shipment to arrive?
Chris @ BCR –
Hey Rob, I suspect we should have our first shipment later next week. Once we have more info we will post it up!
