The following information outlines the terms of service with BC Robotics Inc. website. You may also review our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we handle any personal information that you may provide us. By using BC Robotics Inc. services you acknowledge that you have accepted and will abide by these terms, whether or not you have read and understood them. All web pages on BC Robotics Inc. (Site) are owned and operated by BC Robotics Inc. and is under the Terms of Service described below (Terms). Please ensure you read our terms carefully before using the website. By using the Site, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Products and Content

All features, content, specifications, products and prices of products and services described on BC Robotics are subject to change at any time without notice. Weights, measurements and similar descriptions are approximate and are provided for convenience purposes only – if you need exact measurements, please contact our sales team. All photos are taken by our team and commercial use without written consent is prohibited. We make every effort to ensure products are depicted accurately, including the colors shown in photos; however, the actual color you see will depend on your computer system, and we cannot guarantee that your screen will display the color accurately. 

User Conduct

You agree that all content you post or otherwise submit to the Site is your sole responsibility. BC Robotics does not control users content and cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of the such content. By using the Site, you understand that you may see content that is offensive, objectionable or otherwise disagreeable. We ask that you do not use the Site in an unlawful manner or prohibited use. Please keep the Site clear of harassment, threats, abuse towards others or to intimidate any person. Posting of content should be kept clean with no profane, pornographic, religious, offensive, or infringes on the copy rights of another person.

Please note that any information, photographs, suggestions, ideas, concepts, techniques, or comments posted, uploaded or submitted to the Site are considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. By posting, uploading or submitting any content to the Site you are allowing BC Robotics to show any information (photographs, material, concepts, comments, techniques, questions) provided to other users on the Site. Any information, photographs, suggestions, ideas, concepts, techniques or comments may be used without having to ask for permission. We retain the right to remove any or all user content that includes any material we deem inappropriate or unacceptable. 

Third Party Links

The Site may contain links to other websites that are not owned, operated or controlled by BC Robotics Inc. Any links provided by the Site are for your sole convenience and we have no control over these linked sites. We cannot guarantee that the information provided from third party links are accurate. If you do decide to visit any of the linked websites, you do so entirely at your own risk. 


Your safety is your own responsibility, including proper use of equipment and safety gear, whether you have adequate skill and experience. Please check your manuals for each power tool and equipment you choose to use for the safety and proper usage. BC Robotics disclaims all responsibility for any resulting damage, injury, or expense.

How to Place an Order

Phone Orders

We do not accept orders by telephone. The website is the fastest and easiest way to place orders and ensures the billing and mailing addresses are correct. If you are having troubles with the online system during checkout, please follow our tutorial: Ordering Online With BC Robotics


All pricing is displayed on our website and listed in Canadian Currency (CAD). Price quotations such as purchase orders or quotes shall expire within thirty (30) days from the date issued. BC Robotics reserves the right to cancel and refund orders due to pricing errors, technical issues, and inventory discrepancies.

Canadian Taxes

Applicable taxes are calculated at the time of checkout based on the delivery address of the customer. Taxes are charged on products and freight. If you are tax exempt, please contact us at sales@bc-robotics.com before placing your order.

Custom Orders

You may custom order products from a variety of our suppliers (Adafruit, SparkFun, etc) if you can not find them on our Site. Send us an email requesting your product (product number from the manufacturer is best). It may take up to 1 business day for a reply. All custom order items are pre-paid, non-refundable, and cannot be canceled once they have been placed.


We accept a variety of payment methods. All orders are charged in Canadian Currency. We do not accept COD orders, Cash, Personal Cheques, Bank Drafts, or Money Orders.

Payment Methods: 
  • Credit Card: we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and Visa Debit / Debit Mastercard.
  • PayPal: Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card even if you don’t have a PayPal account.
  • E-Transfer: Interac E-Transfers are only available to Canadian customers placing an order over $20.00 CAD. Interact payments are to be sent to payments@bc-robotics.com. We ask that the password be the invoice number preceded by “00”. For example, if your order number is 10121, please set password to ‘0010121’.
  • Purchase Order: Approved customers can also pay via Direct Deposit or Cheque.


For security purposes, we do not accept payment via Telephone. If additional payments are required, we will send you a secure link where payment can be completed. Please do not email us your credit card number, this is not a secure method of transmitting information. 


In order to prevent payment fraud, in rare cases an order may be held for further verification. We will contact you if this applies. 

Currency Conversion

All transactions, invoices, and receipts are generated in Canadian Dollars. If your Credit Card or PayPal account is based on another currency (USD, Euro, etc.) you will be billed on your own currency at the exchange rate provided by your Credit Card / Bank or PayPal. We cannot provide invoices in your currency.

Emails and Confirmation

On placing an order, a confirmation email is sent to the email address provided. This will contain a summary of the order, shipping, and billing details. Please review this email to verify this information is correct. Please contact us immediately to make any necessary changes.  
A receipt will also be sent from the payment processor indicating the charges applied.  

Availability of Products

We try our best to update our online stock quantities but cannot guarantee that the stock quantities are correct. Therefore, if your item is not the quantity listed in the store, we will hold your order and contact you via email for instructions on how you would like to proceed. If your item is on backorder, please see ‘Backorders / Out of Stock’ for further details.

Gift Certificates

BC Robotics Gift Certificates can be used as cash at our online checkout. These never expire, can be made in any denomination, and are delivered instantly to the recipient. At the checkout you can choose to send it to yourself, someone else, or multiple people. Taxes are not charged on Gift Certificates.

Gift certificates are entered in the “Coupon Code” box at the checkout and are applied to the order before taxes. If the order amounts to less than the total value of the gift certificate, the code will remain active until the entire amount has been exhausted.

Backorder / Out Of Stock

If an order is placed with a backorder / out of stock item, by default, the entire order will be held until it the missing item(s) arrive. An email notification will sent out once the order is processed if it has backordered / out of stock items. If you wish to have the in stock portion of your order split shipped for an additional shipping charge, please respond to the backorder notification.

Backorders and Out Of Stock Items do not have guaranteed arrival dates. Due to ongoing complex supply chain issues, lead times can be extensive. If you wish to cancel a backordered item, please let us know as soon as possible. Within 180 calendar days a full refund will be provided to the original tender. Orders exceeding 180 days will be issued in the form of a store credit due to the time limitations on Credit Card and PayPal transactions.


We offer the option to pre-order popular products before their initial arrival date. Pre-orders allow interested customers to reserve stock ahead of time. Pre-orders are charged immediately and your order will ship as soon as all items are in stock. If you wish to split ship an order, please email us at sales@bc-robotics.com to make arrangements.

Order Status

  • Pending Payment – Order has been received and we are awaiting payment. To complete this order, please use the payment link provided. We do not accept payment over the phone.
  • On Hold – Order has been received but is currently on hold. Orders paid via E-transfer will remain on hold until payment has been received.
  • Processing – The order and payment have been received. The order is currently being entered into our system and printed. Once completed, the order will move to the Picking Order status and can no longer be canceled.
  • Picking Order – The order has been printed and items are being picked from inventory and can no longer be canceled or changed. Once completed, the order will move to the Preparing For Shipment.
  • Preparing for Shipment – The order has been picked and is currently being packed and prepared for shipment. Once the order has been packed, a shipping label will be printed.
  • Complete – The order has been shipped. If the shipping method you have selected has tracking information is available, a link to check the status is shown.
  • PO – Pending Payment – The order was placed via Purchase Order and has been shipped. An invoice has been sent to the billing address or email on file.
  • Item On Backorder – One or more items in this order are currently on backorder. An email has been sent to the address used to place the order. Please respond to this email if you wish to split-ship or remove out of stock items. If unaddressed, the order will ship once all items are in stock.
  • Canceled – Order has been canceled by the customer.
  • Returned for Store Credit – An order has been returned, and a store credit has been issued for the full value of the order.
  • Refunded – Order has been returned for a refund.
  • Failed – Payment has failed or been declined. To complete this order, please use the payment link provided above with an alternate form of payment.
  • Exception – The order requires customer contact and an email has been sent to the address on file with no response received. Please contact us with your order number to resolve this issue.

How to Change or Cancel an Order

If for some reason you need to change or cancel your order please email us at sales@bc-robotics.com as soon as possible! If we receive your cancellation request before your order is processed, we may refund the total amount. If the order has been paid via PayPal the seller fees are not refundable and will be withheld from any refund. Orders paid via E-transfer cannot be refunded and will be issued as store credit. Once orders have entered the picking status, we cannot change the orders and we will only be able to refund the item amount and not the shipping.


All orders ship from our BC Robotics Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada location.

BC Robotics will ship just about anywhere in the world – in some rare cases, additional shipping charges may be applied for international shipments that greatly exceed standard shipping costs. 

When an order is placed, our system uses the ‘Shipping Address’ provided at the time of checkout. If you have paid by PayPal, our system does NOT use the address stored within your PayPal account. If you have entered an incorrect unit number, street number, postal code, etc – please email sales@bc-robotics.com immediately to ensure a correction is made before a shipping label is created. Once the shipping label is created, it cannot be changed. Orders placed before 3:00PM Pacific (6:00PM Eastern) time will be shipped same day; orders received after that time will be shipped the next business day. Please refer to our shipping chart for additional information. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with your tracking number (if applicable) once your package has been shipped.

Export Control

Due to export regulations in Canada some products may not be able to ship to your country. We do not ship to Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Mozambique, Nigeria, North Korea, Qatar, Russia, South Sudan, Sudan, or Syria.

Free Shipping

Free shipping is available on domestic orders shipping to a Canadian address. Orders must exceed $150 CAD before taxes to qualify. Free shipping is not available for oversized orders or products with special handling requirements. Free shipping does not have a guaranteed delivery date, if an order requires a specific delivery date, please choose a shipping method accordingly. 

Using Your Own Courier Account

Please contact us prior to ordering, we would be happy to arrange this for you. A $9.95 CAD handling fee is applied to the order. 

Same Day Shipping Criteria

In order for your package to ship same day, your order must meet the following criteria: 

  • Order is received before 3:00PM (Pacific Time) on a business day
  • All items are in-stock (no backorders or pre-orders)
  • Does not contain any lithium-ion batteries
  • International Order totals less than $2000 CAD before taxes (Additional Documentation)
  • Order not placed with Purchase Order.
  • You are not a BC Robotics Distributor.
  • Order not modified or changed.
  • Paid for in full.

Please Note: During certain events such as a major sale, we may suspend our same day shipping due to order volume. This will be made known on the post / page for the sale.

Weekends & Holidays

 BC Robotics does not ship on weekends or Statutory holidays (New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, BC Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day). 

Duties and Taxes

All international import duty fees, taxes, brokerage fees and any other fees associated with customs incurred on an order are the sole responsibility of the buyer. BC Robotics is not responsible for any extra charges once the package has been shipped. If you do not pay the required duties and taxes on arrival in your country we cannot be held responsible for the order, nor can not issue a refund on your order or the shipping charges.

In the event the package is returned; shipping and any additional charges incurred to get back the package will be taken out of the cost of the order with the remaining amount being refunded back to the customer.

In some cases, the package may be destroyed – this will depend on each order and the destination country. BC Robotics will not issue a refund on items or shipping on destroyed packages. If you have any questions about your duty and taxes, please contact your local customs office.

Parcel Safe Drop

All orders exceeding $100 CAD are sent with a “Do Not Safe Drop” instruction by default. If you wish to have your order safe dropped in the event no one is available to receive the parcel, please include a note in the customer notes of the order. Orders shipped with this request are done so at the risk of the customer.

Package Arrived Damaged

Please email support@bc-robotics.com right away if your package arrives damaged. Include a description of the damages, and pictures of the damaged items/packaging. This information is very helpful to BC Robotics for making any claims. Please keep all packaging material (including the box) otherwise the claim may be denied. Damage claims can be made up to fourteen (14) days after delivery. 

Returned Packages to Sender

If your package has not been received and for some reason has made its way back to BC Robotics, it could be because:

  • If packages have missing or incorrect shipping address information.
    If you have submitted an incorrect shipping address, your package will likely be returned to BC Robotics. The package will be rerouted back to BC Robotics by the same shipping method. If the carrier (Canada Post/Courier) charges us to return the package, we will either deduct the amount from your refund if you decide to cancel, or add the cost to your revised shipping invoice.
  • If the label is damaged during transit.
    If the label becomes damaged during transit, Canada Post will attempt to determine the destination. If they are unable to determine the destination the package will be returned to sender. We will get in touch with the purchaser and notify of reshipment.
  • If the package was refused at customs for any reasons or you refused to pay the custom charges.
    If the purchaser refuses to pay the duty or taxes owing on international shipments, please refer to ‘Duty and Taxes’.

Lost Package

If you believe your order has been lost by the shipper, please contact us as soon as possible with the Order Number.  

Warranty Policy

Note: If your package arrived damaged, please see ‘Package Arrived Damaged’ in the ‘Shipping’.

Any products with a manufacturer warranty will be passed through to you for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of delivery. We will replace or credit you for any confirmed defective products at our discretion. Please contact us before purchasing if you are unsure about the warranty of a product. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for the shipping charges of the warranty product back to BC Robotics. We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement item back to the customer via Canada Post – Standard/Light Packet.

How to Claim a Warranty Item

If you think a part is defective, please contact support@bc-robotics.com and include the following information:
• Order number
• Description of the problem

Please note: the item cannot be modified, abused, incorrectly hooked up, or used for purposes outside the original scope of design.

If the item is found to be defective an RMA number will be issued along with instructions on how to return the item. Once the item arrives at BC Robotics it will be tested and we will respond within 5 business days. Please see our ‘warranty policy’ for additional information.

BC Robotics Return Policy

We are happy to accept the return of qualifying unused and unopened items within 14 days of the arrival date.

Please do not ship a return without filing a return request with our sales team. Please email sales@bc-robotics.com with your order number. If found acceptable to our terms, we will issue you a RMA confirmation code. Return shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the original shipping costs cannot be refunded and all returns will be issued in the form of a store credit equal to the item(s) original purchase price. We highly recommend all returns are sent via a trackable shipping method. Keep in mind that returns may take up to 1 week to process, not including transit times.

All ‘on sale’ and custom ordered items are a final sale. Items marked ‘final sale’ are also not eligible for return. A product’s return policy is listed on their respective product page within the section “Warranty and Returns”.

If you have any questions about a particular product or require technical support, please email support@bc-robotics.com or post a question on the catalog page of the specific part.

We do not offer telephone support. We will typically send links to tutorials, videos, datasheets, photos, or other instructions that are not transmittable over telephone to help answer a question.

While we do strive to provide great customer service; we will not design your project for you. We will provide information or links to tutorials on how to use the parts we sell but it is up to you to figure out how to implement those and achieve the results you desire.
