We do not accept orders by phone. The website is the fastest and easiest way to place orders and ensures the billing and mailing addresses are correct. If you are having troubles with the online system during checkout, please follow our tutorial: Ordering Online With BC Robotics
You may custom order products from a variety of our suppliers (Adafruit, SparkFun, Pololu, etc) if you can not find them on our Site. Send us an email requesting your product (product number from the manufacturer is best). It may take up to 1 business day for a reply. All custom order items are pre-paid and are non-refundable once they have been placed.
We accept a variety of payment methods. All orders are charged in Canadian Currency. We do not accept COD orders.
We try our best to update our online stock quantities but cannot guarantee that the stock quantities are correct. Therefore, if your item is not the quantity listed in the store, we will hold your order and contact you via email for instructions on how you would like to proceed. If your item is on backorder, please see ‘Backorders / Out of Stock’ for further details.
If an order is placed with a backorder / out of stock item, by default, the entire order will be held until it the missing item(s) arrive. An email notification will sent out once the order is processed if it has backordered / out of stock items. If you wish to have the in stock portion of your order split shipped for an additional shipping charge, please respond to the backorder notification.
If for some reason you need to change or cancel your order please email us ASAP! If we receive your cancellation request before your order is processed, we may refund the total amount. If the order has been paid via PayPal the seller fees are not refundable and will be withheld from any refund. Orders paid via E-transfer cannot be refunded and will be issued as store credit. Once orders have their shipping label printed, we cannot change the orders and we will only be able to refund the item amount and not the shipping.
All orders ship from our BC Robotics Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada location.
BC Robotics will ship just about anywhere in the world – in some rare cases, additional shipping charges may be applied for international shipments that greatly exceed standard shipping costs. Due to export regulations in Canada some products may not be able to ship to your country.
When an order is placed, our system uses the ‘Shipping Address’ provided at the time of checkout. If you have paid by PayPal, our system does NOT use the address stored within your PayPal account. If you have entered an incorrect unit number, street number, postal code, etc – please email firstname.lastname@example.org immediately to ensure a correction is made before a shipping label is created. Once the shipping label is created, it cannot be changed. Orders placed before 3:00PM Pacific (6:00PM Eastern) time will be shipped same day; orders received after that time will be shipped the next business day. Please refer to our shipping chart for additional information. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with your tracking number (if applicable) once your package has been shipped.
In order for your package to ship same day, your order must meet the following criteria:
Please Note: During certain events such as a major sale, we may suspend our same day shipping due to order volume. This will be made known on the post / page for the sale.
All international import duty fees, taxes, brokerage fees and any other fees associated with customs incurred on an order are the sole responsibility of the buyer. BC Robotics is not responsible for any extra charges once the package has been shipped. If you do not pay the required duties and taxes on arrival in your country we cannot be held responsible for the order, nor can not issue a refund on your order or the shipping charges.
In the event the package is returned; shipping and any additional charges incurred to get back the package will be taken out of the cost of the order with the remaining amount being refunded back to the customer.
In some cases, the package may be destroyed – this will depend on each order and the destination country. BC Robotics will not issue a refund on items or shipping on destroyed packages. If you have any questions about your duty and taxes, please contact your local customs office.
All orders exceeding $100 CAD are sent with a “Do Not Safe Drop” instruction by default. If you wish to have your order safe dropped in the event no one is available to receive the parcel, please include a note in the customer notes of the order. Orders shipped with this request are done so at the risk of the customer.
Please email email@example.com right away if your package arrives damaged. Include a description of the damages, and pictures of the damaged items/packaging. This information is very helpful to BC Robotics for making any claims. Please keep all packaging material (including the box) otherwise the claim may be denied. Damage claims can be made up to 14 days after delivery.
If your package has not been received and for some reason has made its way back to BC Robotics, it could be because:
Curbside pickup is available during our regular business hours from our Nanaimo warehouse. This service is completely contactless. Curbside Pickup is free for any order exceeding $15 CAD before taxes. Orders under this threshold are subject to a pickup fee of $2 + applicable taxes, automatically applied at the checkout. We strive to get curbside orders ready within 1 hour, however all orders are processed in the order they are received regardless of shipping or pickup to meet our strict inventory handling requirments.

Any products with a manufacturer warranty will be passed through to you for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of delivery. We will replace, repair or credit you for any confirmed defective products at our discretion. Please contact us before purchasing if you are unsure about the warranty of a product. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for the shipping charges of the warranty product back to BC Robotics. We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement/repaired item back to the customer via Canada Post – Standard/Light Packet.

Please note: the item cannot be modified, abused, incorrectly hooked up, or used for purposes outside the original scope of design.
If the item is found to be defective an RMA number will be issued along with instructions on how to return the item. Once the item arrives at BC Robotics it will be tested and we will respond within 5 business days. Please see our ‘warranty policy’ for additional information.
We are happy to accept the return of any unused and unopened items purchased within 14 days of the arrival date.
Please do not ship a return without filing a return request with our sales team. If found acceptable to our terms, they will issue you a RMA confirmation code. Return shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the original shipping costs cannot be refunded and all returns will be issued in the form of a store credit equal to the item(s) original purchase price. We highly recommend all returns are sent via a trackable shipping method. All returns must include accessories, documentation and the original packaging (if applicable). Keep in mind that returns may take up to 1 week to process, not including transit times.
All ‘on sale’ and custom ordered items are a final sale. Items marked ‘final sale’ are also not eligible for return.

We do not offer telephone support. We will typically send links to tutorials, videos, datasheets, photos, or other instructions that are not transmittable over telephone to help answer a question.
While we do strive to provide great customer service; we will not design your project for you. We will provide information or links to tutorials on how to use the parts we sell but it is up to you to figure out how to implement those and achieve the results you desire.
