You may also review our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we handle any personal information that you may provide us. By using BC Robotics Inc. services you acknowledge that you have accepted and will abide by these terms, whether or not you have read and understood them. All web pages on BC Robotics Inc. (Site) are owned and operated by BC Robotics Inc. and is under the Terms of Service described below (Terms). Please ensure you read our terms carefully before using the website. By using the Site, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.



Products and Content

All features, content, specifications, products and prices of products and services described on BC Robotics are subject to change at any time without notice. Weights, measurements and similar descriptions are approximate and are provided for convenience purposes only – if you need exact measurements, please contact our sales team. All photos are taken by our team and commercial use without written consent is prohibited. We make every effort to ensure products are depicted accurately, including the colors shown in photos; however, the actual color you see will depend on your computer system, and we cannot guarantee that your screen will display the color accurately.

User Conduct

You agree that all content you post or otherwise submit to the Site is your sole responsibility. BC Robotics does not control users content and cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of the such content. By using the Site, you understand that you may see content that is offensive, objectionable or otherwise disagreeable. We ask that you do not use the Site in an unlawful manner or prohibited use. Please keep the Site clear of harassment, threats, abuse towards others or to intimidate any person. Posting of content should be kept clean with no profane, pornographic, religious, offensive, or infringes on the copy rights of another person.
Please note that any information, photographs, suggestions, ideas, concepts, techniques, or comments posted, uploaded or submitted to the Site are considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. By posting, uploading or submitting any content to the Site you are allowing BC Robotics to show any information (photographs, material, concepts, comments, techniques, questions) provided to other users on the Site. Any information, photographs, suggestions, ideas, concepts, techniques or comments may be used without having to ask for permission. We retain the right to remove any or all user content that includes any material we deem inappropriate or unacceptable.

The Site may contain links to other websites that are not owned, operated or controlled by BC Robotics Inc. Any links provided by the Site are for your sole convenience and we have no control over these linked sites. We cannot guarantee that the information provided from third party links are accurate. If you do decide to check out any of the linked websites, you do so entirely at your own risk.


Your safety is your own responsibility, including proper use of equipment and safety gear, whether you have adequate skill and experience. Please check your manuals for each power tool and equipment you choose to use for the safety and proper usage. BC Robotics disclaims all responsibility for any resulting damage, injury, or expense.

How to Place an Order

If you are unfamiliar with how to order online, please follow our tutorial!

Phone Orders

We do not accept orders by phone. If you have a Purchase Order Number, please contact us to make special arrangements. The website is the fastest and easiest way to place orders and ensures the billing and mailing addresses are correct. If you are having troubles with the online system during checkout, please feel free to give us a call and let us know your situation so we may correct this.

Custom Order

You may custom order products from a variety of our suppliers (Adafruit, SparkFun, Pololu, etc) if you can not find them on our Site. Send us an email requesting your product (product number from the manufacturer is best). It may take up to 1 business day for a reply. All custom order items are pre-paid and are non-refundable once they have been placed.


We accept a variety of payment methods. All orders are charged in Canadian Currency. We do not accept COD orders.
Online Payments:

  • Credit Card: we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and Visa Debit / Debit Mastercard. When checking out provide your ‘card number’, ‘expiry date’, ‘card code’, and ‘postal code’.
  • PayPal: Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card even if you don’t have a PayPal account.
  • E-Transfer: Interac E-Transfers are only available to Canada customers placing an order over $20.00 CAD. Interact payments are to be sent to payments@bc-robotics.com. We ask that the password be the invoice number preceded by “00”. For example, if your order number is 10121, please set password to ‘0010121’.
  • Net30: Net30 accounts can also pay via Direct Deposit or Cheque (approved customers only).

Availability of Products

We try our best to update our online stock quantities but cannot guarantee that the stock quantities are correct. Therefore, if your item is not the quantity listed in the store, we will hold your order and contact you via email for instructions on how you would like to proceed. If your item is on backorder, please see ‘Backorders / Out of Stock’ for further details.

Backorders / Out of Stock

If an item is on backorder, the product will be arriving in stock within a number of business days. Emails go out with the approximation of the arrival date. You have two options on your order:

  • Your order will be held until all items are available to ship as one.
  • Have your order split shipped for additional shipping charges. Please let us know in the ‘Order Notes’ section during checkout if you wish to you have your order split ship.

If an item is on pre-order, the product is available for ordering but has not reached our inventory. We do not provide any timeline to when this item will arrive as it depends on the manufacturer.

How to Change or Cancel an Order

If for some reason you need to change or cancel your order, please call or email us ASAP! If we receive your cancellation request before your order is processed, we may refund the total amount. If the order has been paid via PayPal the seller fees are not refundable and will be withheld from any refund. Orders paid via E-transfer cannot be refunded and will be issued as store credit. Once orders have their shipping label printed, we cannot change the orders and will only be able to refund the item amount and not the shipping.

Shipping Policy

All orders ship from our BC Robotics Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada location.
BC Robotics will ship just about anywhere in the world – in some rare cases, additional shipping charges may be applied for international shipments that greatly exceed standard shipping costs. Due to export regulations in Canada some products may not be able to ship to your country.
When an order is placed, our system uses the ‘Shipping Address’ provided at the time of checkout. If you have paid by PayPal, our system does NOT use the address stored within your PayPal account. If you have entered an incorrect unit number, street number, postal code, etc – please email sales@bc-robotics.com immediately to ensure a correction is made before a shipping label is created. Once the shipping label is created, it cannot be changed. Orders placed before 3:00PM Pacific (6:00PM Eastern) time will be shipped same day; orders received after that time will be shipped the next business day. Please refer to out shipping chart for additional information. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with your tracking number (if applicable) once your package has been shipped.

In order for your package to ship same day, your order must meet the following criteria:

  • Order received before 3:00PM (Pacific Time) on a business day
  • All items are in-stock (no backorders)
  • Does not contain any lithium-ion batteries
  • Paid for in full

BC Robotics does not ship on weekends or Statutory holidays (New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, BC Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day).
While we process orders immediately, delivery times provided in our shipping chart are only approximations with no guarantee delivery dates. These estimates may be subject to delays due to customs, holidays, weather and other unforeseen events. Delays due to COVID-19 are highly variable and are not accounted for in delivery times. Economy shipping methods without tracking numbers are most susceptible to delays. Please be aware of this when selecting a shipping method. For select rural postal codes some shipping options may not be available – while extremely rare, we will contact you if this is the case.
Please Note: Canada Post Oversized Lettermail, United States Light Packet, and International Light Packet do not include insurance or tracking numbers. Use of this service is at the sole discretion of the buyer and in the very rare event that a package is damaged or lost, BC Robotics will not be held liable for the lost or damaged package. Also, please be aware that these economy shipping methods are seeing the longest COVID-19 related delays.

For customers with FedEx or Purolator shipping accounts: we do offer the ability to ship on your account. Please contact us to arrange this shipping option; a handling fee of $4.95 plus applicable taxes will be added to your order.

Local Pickup Service

Local Pickup / Curbside Pickup

We also offer FREE curbside pickup or orders over $15 at our Nanaimo warehouse. An email is sent out when your order is ready for pickup; typically within an hour during normal business hours. On arrival please call the telephone number on the door and have your order number ready!

Our pickup hours are:

Monday – Friday: 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Saturday: 10:00AM – 2:00PM
Closed: Sundays & Holidays

Duties and Taxes

All international import duty fees, taxes, brokerage fees and any other fees associated with customs incurred on an order are the sole responsibility of the buyer. BC Robotics is not responsible for any extra charges once the package has been shipped. If you do not pay the required duties and taxes on arrival in your country we cannot be held responsible for the order, nor can not issue a refund on your order or the shipping charges.
In the event the package is returned; shipping and any additional charges incurred to get back the package will be taken out of the cost of the order with the remaining amount being refunded back to the customer.
In some cases, the package may be destroyed – this will depend on each order and the destination country. BC Robotics will not issue a refund on items or shipping on destroyed packages. If you have any questions about your duty and taxes, please contact your local customs office.

Parcel Safe Drop

All orders exceeding $100 CAD are sent with a “Do Not Safe Drop” instruction by default. If you wish to have your order safe dropped in the event no one is available to receive the parcel, please include a note in the customer notes of the order. Orders shipped with this request are done so at the risk of the customer.

Package Arrived Damaged

Please email support@bc-robotics.com right away if your package arrives damaged. An RMA form will be emailed to you. Include a description of the damages, and pictures of the damaged items/packaging. This information is very helpful to BC Robotics for making any claims.

Returned Packages to Sender

If your package has not been received and for some reason has made its way back to BC Robotics, it could be because:
If packages have missing or incorrect shipping address information.
If you have submitted an incorrect shipping address, your package will likely be returned to BC Robotics. The package will be rerouted back to BC Robotics by the same shipping method. If the carrier (Canada Post/Courier) charges us to return the package, we will either deduct the amount from your refund if you decide to cancel, or add the cost to your revised shipping invoice.
If the label is damaged during transit.
If the label becomes damaged during transit, Canada Post will attempt to determine the destination. If they are unable to determine the destination the package will be returned to sender. We will get in touch with the purchaser and notify of reshipment.
If the package was refused at customs for any reasons or you refused to pay the custom charges.
If the purchaser refuses to pay the duty or taxes owing on international shipments, please refer to ‘Duty and Taxes’.
We hold a returned package for 30 days before we restock the items and process any applicable credit. If you believe your order is being returned, please contact us.

Warranty Policy

Note: If your package arrived damaged, please see ‘Package Arrived Damaged’.
Any products with a manufacturer warranty will be passed through to you for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of delivery. We will replace, repair or credit you for any confirmed defective products at our discretion. Please contact us before purchasing if you are unsure about the warranty of a product. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for the shipping charges of the warranty product back to BC Robotics. We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement/repaired item back to the customer via Canada Post – Standard/Light Packet.

How to Claim a Warranty Item

If you think a part is defective, please contact support@bc-robotics.com and include the following information:
• Order number
• Description of the problem
Please note: the item cannot be modified, abused, incorrectly hooked up, or used for purposes outside the original scope of design.
If the item is found to be defective an RMA number will be issued along with instructions on how to return the item. Once the item arrives at BC Robotics it will be tested and we will respond within 5 business days. Please see our ‘warranty policy’ for additional information.

BC Robotics Return Policy

We are happy to accept the return of any unused and unopened items purchased within 14 days (within Canada) of the shipping date and 14 days of the arrival date for international orders.
Please do not ship a return without filing a return request with our sales team. If found acceptable to our terms, they will issue you a RMA confirmation code. Return shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the original shipping costs cannot be refunded and all returns will be issued to the original tender or in the form of a store credit equal to the original purchase price. We highly recommend all returns are sent via a trackable shipping method. All returns must include accessories, documentation and the original packaging (if applicable). Keep in mind that returns may take up to 1 week to process, not including transit times.
All ‘on sale’ and custom ordered items are a final sale. Items marked ‘final sale’ are also not eligible for return.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes your privacy rights, what data we collect, and how it is used when browsing, commenting, and purchasing with BC Robotics Inc.

How information is collected

When using the BC Robotics Website (www.bc-robotics.com) information is collected as a part of normal website operation, customer contact, website traffic monitoring, and in the process of fulfilling user requests. The type of data collected and how it is retained will vary depending on the actions of the user.

User Input Data:

When a user account is created, a comment is posted, or an order is placed (with or without a user account) we collect the input data you provide.

  • When creating a user account we require an email address. If additional information is provided, we will also have access to this information. This information is used to create the requested user profile.
  • When posting a user comment or review on the BC Robotics Website: we retain your name, email address, and comments. Information such as name, email address, and comments will be used to post the user comment and will become public.
  • When placing an order with BC Robotics: we retain records of what was purchased, how it was purchased, your shipping and billing address, your email address, your telephone number, and any contact you may have with us regarding the order.


When you email us

If you email us, this email is stored on our email server and eventually archived. Emails and contents are retained for reference and are never sold. Information may be shared with third parties when required to complete a request.

Data Logging and Data Retention

As a part of standard website maintenance practices and to better understand site traffic, we log individual web requests. The log includes the time of the request, the IP address, the referrer and the user agent strings.
As a part of fraud prevention and malicious behavior detection, we log IP addresses when certain actions are performed on the website. These include creating an account, logging in to the website, placing an order, and posting a comment.

How we send Email

BC Robotics sends email to customers and users during the course processing requests and transactions.

  • Customers will receive an email confirming the order, a receipt from the payment gateway of choice (if applicable), and a notification when the order has been shipped. If there is an issue shipping the order, an item on backorder preventing it from being shipped, or any other issues surrounding the order we may also send an email.
  • When signing up for an account or requesting a password reset, an email will be sent with instructions to the address provided.
  • If we believe the information of a user has been compromised we will notify by email if it is within our power to do so.

BC Robotics also offers email subscriptions for our newsletter mailing list and product “back-in-stock” notifications. To receive these notifications, a user must opt-in to receiving them by entering their email address in one of the subscribe boxes on our website.
To remove yourself from our newsletter mailing list, simply click the “unsubscribe” link at the footer of any previously sent newsletter or contact us at support@bc-robotics.com to request removal. All removal requests will be honored and respected.
Our product notifications will only send out an email when that specific product arrives back in stock. As soon as that email has been sent, the address is deleted from the notification list. If you wish to be removed from a product notification (or all product notifications) before that email has been sent, please contact us at support@bc-robotics.com .

Data Exchange & Delivery

BC Robotics makes use of Sucuri Performance Optimization, a content delivery network to improve website performance.
We make an attempt to serve all data over an HTTPS secured connection.

Cookies and Tracking

BC Robotics uses cookies to know when users are logged in, remember items in your shopping cart, and handle the addition and removal of items from your shopping cart.

Third Party Services


BC Robotics uses third party services to ship orders. Unless requested, all shipments are sent using Canada Post. Information is passed directly to Canada Post to facilitate the shipment of an order through Canada Post Snap Ship. This information includes: Customer Name, Company Name (if applicable), Shipping Address, and Telephone Number. Order contents and quantities may be required as well depending on the contents or destination. Special shipping requests or requesting to use another carrier will result in information being handled differently. For additional information, please feel free to contact us.

Payment Services

We offer several choices for paying for an order with BC Robotics. Depending on the payment method selected, information will be handled differently.
Square – Card payments through Square are processed on Square’s servers. Information is passed to Square to aide in fraud prevention and process the payment. This information includes the order total, the order number, the customer name, email address, credit card details, and the billing address.
Square allows the option for users to store their payment information to allow for quicker checkout in the future. This option is PCI compliant and disabled by default. Users can opt into the feature at the checkout. To remove this information, payment methods can be managed from your account page at BC Robotics. Square handles all aspects of security, the Credit Card information is not stored on BC Robotics servers. Square’s privacy policy can be found here: https://squareup.com/ca/en/legal/general/privacy
PayPal – PayPal allows customers to pay safely using a variety of payment methods. These include PayPal balance, debit, and credit card. PayPal can be used with or without the creation of a PayPal account. When paying through PayPal information is passed to the PayPal servers. This information includes the order total, the order number, the items ordered, the customer name, email address, billing address, and shipping address. PayPal requires this information for fraud prevention, to process the payment, and uphold your PayPal purchaser protection. Interac E-Transfer – Canadian Customers are welcome to use E-Transfer to make a payment. Since this payment method is initiated by the purchaser, our servers do not pass any order information to Interac.
If an alternate payment method is arranged, payment information and data collected may be handled differently. For additional information, please feel free to contact us.

Security, Content Delivery, and Analytics

Information Sharing

Certain behaviours online allow users to share information publicly. This includes, but it is not limited to, posting comments, sharing over social media, and sharing wishlists. Users should remember that in doing this, information may become available to the public. We cannot control information that a user decides to make public.
Identifiable information is not sold, traded, or rented to others except in the following circumstances:

  • With user consent
  • For the merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding involving the sale or transfer of all or substantially all of our business or assets.
  • For legal protection, security, and safety purposes. This includes regulatory, legal process, and law enforcement requirements.

We do not offer telephone support. We will typically send links to tutorials, videos, datasheets, photos, or other instructions that are not transmittable over telephone to help answer a question.
While we do strive to provide great customer service; we will not design your project for you. We will provide information or links to tutorials on how to use the parts we sell but it is up to you to figure out how to implement those and achieve the results you desire.
