Description

The Adalogger Featherwing adds both a battery-backed Real Time Clock (RTC) and microSD card storage to any Adafruit Feather microcontroller. This makes it easy to add data logging to any existing Feather board or Feather based project.

On the board, you get the I2C based PCF8523 RTC with a 32KHz crystal and battery backup, and a microSD socket that connects to the SPI port pins (+ extra pin for CS). The board is tested and works great with all models of the Adafruit Feather. We recommend a set of male and female breakaway headers to connect this to your Feather.

Please Note: This board does not include a CR1220 coin cell battery for the RTC battery-backup.

Revision Note: As of June 22, 2022 – the crystal is now a smaller package and may ship either a SOIC or HVSON version of the same RTC chip. Functionality and pinout are identical!
