Description
This 2×5 (10 pin – 0.1ā spaced) IDC Breadboard Helper is great in conjunction with our 10-pin ribbon cables and insulation displacement connectors. It comes in two parts, a ‘pin-through’ socket and a male header. The socket straddles the center of a breadboard or proto board and then header plugs into the top of the socket. Since ribbon cables are so standard, but not compatible with standard breadboard layouts, this is a good and cheap work around for prototyping.
The connector works best when soldered in place. These are compatible with some solderless breadboards ā they do have tendency to jump out of the breadboard in some cases ā so your mileage may vary!
We also have these in a 6 pin (2×3) and 40 pin (2×20) configuration.
