Continuous rotation servos are effectively servos without potentiometers to monitor their location. The have no end stops and will rotate continuously just like a normal gearmotor with a speed and direction relative to the servo signal pulse length. The servo offers an inexpensive and easy to control method of getting your small turret spinning or miniature robot moving.

Continuous rotation servos are effectively servos without potentiometers to monitor their location. The have no end stops and will rotate continuously just like a normal gearmotor. The advantage to these over a normal gearmotor is the built in motor driver. Instead of moving to a specific point in their sweep based on the servo signal, these change speed. The further “left” or “right” the signal, the faster it will spin in that direction. The servo offers an inexpensive and easy to control method of getting your small turret spinning or miniature robot moving. This servo can work with both 5 V and 3.3 V servo signals and has a standard servo connector.
The servo can be controlled using a direct connection to a single microcontroller I/O line without any additional electronics, which makes it a great miniature actuator for beginner robotics projects. The default rest point is 1.5ms. Pulse widths above the rest point result in counter clockwise rotation, with speed increasing as the pulse width increases; pulse widths below the rest point result in clockwise rotation, with speed increasing as the pulse width decreases.
The servo has a 10″ (250 mm) lead and includes additional servo horns and mounting hardware.
