Description
This pressure sensor is designed to work between 0 and 25PSI and features a metal port. This is ideally suited for assistive tech such as “Sip & Puff” interfaces, measuring pressure in closed spaces, or pressurized systems. Since the sensor ranges from 0 to 25 PSI, it has fairly decent range above and below ambient sea level pressure of roughly 14.5 psi.
The sensor itself is comprised of a silicone-gel covered pressure sensing gauge with a 2.5mm diameter metal port measuring 3.7mm long. All of this is mounted on an easy to use, breadboard compatible breakout board. 3.3V and 5V compatible.
This pressure sensor connects with I2C and can be used with any microcontroller or microcomputer including the Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Adafruit has kindly provided Arduino and CircuitPython/Python libraries for the sensor so you will be up and running in no time!
