Description
Have you ever needed to measure if something is bending or flexing? These sensors are designed just for that purpose! They were popularized by being used in the Nintendo PowerGlove as a gaming interface.
These sensors are very easy to use, they are essentially resistors that change value based on how much their flexed. If they’re unflexed, the resistance is around 25KĪ©. When flexed all the way the resistance rises to around 100KĪ©.
Connect the sensor to a microcontroller’s analog input with a basic voltage divider circuit and away you go! This tutorial from Adafruit Industries is technically for a force sensitive resistor, but will work with this sensor as well!
