Have you ever wanted a warmer White tone in your RGB strip lighting? Or have you wanted better representation of colors? These individually addressable LED strip lights are based on the SK6812 chip and feature a forth Warm White color element. The strip is enclosed in an IP67 rated weather resistant sleeve and can be cut between each LED if needed (every 16.65mm) to get the right length.

Including a Warm White element in the LED allows for much better representation of color, the ability to create fine tuned white tones, and enhanced light patterns. Since each LED has its own driver, there is no need for power transistors. Simply apply 5V DC power, and provide a digital signal and that’s it! Due to the frequency of the data signal, these require a real time microcontroller such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC, mbed, ect. They will not work with Linux based micro-computers, Netduinos, or the Basic Stamp.

To use these LEDs: Connect your microcontroller digital pin to the “IN” pad (data in) on the back of the module and supply power. The Adafruit NeoPixel library has support for these strips.

Each meter of SK6812 can draw up to 4.8A in this LED density, so a fairly beefy power supply is required to run anything over a meter. We have 2A, 5A, and 10A 5V power supplies available depending on the size of your installation.

Please Note: Depending on the length of piece ordered, there may be a connector on one end. For orders of 5 meters a single 5 meter piece will be shipped with connectors on both ends.
