Solid State Relay – 2A
This small Solid State Relay can switch current loads of up to 2A with a 4-6V DC input. The relay uses a zero cross trigger control method. The relay pins are a standard 2.54mm / 0.100″ pitch and can be soldered into normal perfboards.
A solid state relay (SSR) allows you to control high-current AC loads from lower voltage DC control circuitry. Solid state relays have several advantages over mechanical relays. One such advantage is that they can be switched by a much lower voltage and at a much lower current than most mechanical relays. Also, because there’s no moving contacts, solid state relays can be switched much faster and for much longer periods without wearing out.
This particular SSR can switch current loads of up to 2A with a 4-6V DC input. The relay uses a zero cross trigger control method. The relay pins are a standard 2.54mm / 0.100″ pitch and can be soldered into normal perfboards.
While this product is designed to accommodate higher voltages, please exercise caution when using this part to switch high voltage. If you are inexperienced or unsure about how to use this product please consult a professional.
