Description

The Adafruit MAX31855K breakout is an easy to use amplifier primarily designed for use with thermocouples. This board is compatible with all of our K-type Thermocouples and makes adding a wide range temperature sensor to your project as simple as possible.

This breakout board has a built in 3.3VDC regulator and is compatible with both 3.3VDC and 5VDC systems. Temperature is output in increments of 0.25 degrees Celsius between -200°C and 1350°C. The data is output using SPI meaning it is compatible with all models of the Raspberry Pi as well as most microcontrollers.
