So, you have found yourself looking at another error in your Pi console. Unforuntatly, this “Environment is externally managed” error started to pop up with the release of Raspberry Pi OS “Bookworm” October 2023. If you are not an eager reader of upcoming release notes for Python or the Raspberry Pi OS, this is probably just one more Google search of why things not working – but fortunately, we have solutions!
