This 6mm to 8mm shaft coupler has a helical cut that allows for a secure and stable connection even if the shafts are not perfectly aligned. The helical cut also reduces binding and allows for some flexibility in the X, Y, and Z axis, but not in the rotational axis.
This DC motor is coupled to a 1:48 reduction gearbox in an easy to mount assembly. On each side of the gearbox there is a 5.5mm flatted output shaft – these can be used to connect wheels and rotary encoders. To make hookup as easy as possible, these motors are pre-wired!
