The shield has an SD card slot (which can be used with a microSD card and SD adapter), a built in RTC (real time clock) with battery backup, and a small prototyping area for any additional circuitry you need to add. Just solder in the included breakaway headers and you are ready to go!

This new version is compatible with:

• Arduino UNO or ATmega328 compatible – 4 analog channels at 10 bit resolution, 6 if RTC is not used
• Arduino Leonardo or ATmega32u4 compatible – 12 analog channels at 10 bit resolution
• Arduino Mega R3 or ATmega2560 compatible – 16 analog inputs (10-bit)
• Arduino Zero or ATSAMD21 compatible – 6 analog inputs (12-bit)
• Arduino Due – 12 analog inputs (12-bit)

Of course you can log anything you like, including digital sensors that have Arduino libraries, serial data, bit timings, and more!

This breakout uses a CR1220 battery. Due to shipping regulations, a battery is not included
