Play MP3 files on que with this unique MP3 trigger module! These are perfectly suited for playing sound effects or even building your own basic MP3 Player. The board is capable of playing 9 different MP3 based on each of the 9 trigger pins being pulled low. The sound files are stored on a microSD card and triggered by pulling the respective pin low on the module.

Audio is output via a standard headphone / line level jack with a 1/8” plug or the amplified speaker output. The amplifier can output up to 3W and works with speakers with an impedance of 4-8 Ohms. An onboard trim potentiometer allows the volume to be adjusted.

When preparing a microSD card for this application, ensure it is formatted in FAT32. In order for the module to find the files, create a folder named “01” on the microSD card. Each sound file should then be named “001” – “009” to indicate which pin should trigger which file. Once renamed, place these files in the “01” folder.

To play a sound file, pull the respective pin low. Example: to play sound file 001, connect A1 to ground momentarily. The LED will flash and the sound will play.
